Dried flowers ( week 7 on the flower farm)

Dried flowers was the focus on the farm this week . When you think of dried flowers….yes I get it, the flowers from the past come creeping into you thoughts. Dusty dull babies breath..
During the growing season I like to dry some of my crop. Not all flowers dry well but most of them do. I have a post coming soon on how to dry flowers. There are so many flowers that work well for drying. I will go over these in a future post.
Some florists are doing amazing work mixing fresh and dried together. Try it!

Heather from Boreal Blooms makes the most beautiful dried bouquets. She does such a fabulous job of blending and coordinating colors. I have learned so much from Heather. She has a podcast called The sustainable flowers podcast. Chalked full of valuable information.

I do sell some dried flowers in my Etsy shop. This has been a great way to continue my “flower season” I am hoping to add more flower head varieties this year to the shop.

I have been using my dried flowers in photo shoots for my Etsy shop. It has been so fun using what I have grown.
If you missed last weeks post here it is.
This week is just a quick one….as you see I am slipping this in on Monday!

See you Friday…..
